Vancouver Community Gardens Getting Ready to Grow

To help ensure residents have continued access to fresh fruit and vegetables, Vancouver City Manager Eric Holmes issued Emergency Order 2020-12 on April 22nd related to the closure of city-owned community gardens and gave some the “green” thumbs up.

Volunteer Grove Tree Plantings Honor Local Citizens

The City of Vancouver recently added nine trees to its Volunteer Grove at Centerpointe Park to honor civically-minded residents and groups who have donated at least 50 hours of volunteer service to the community.

City of Vancouver Closes Playgrounds, Sports Courts and Picnic Shelters

Vancouver Parks and Recreation is closing all active recreation areas in city parks, including sports courts, playgrounds, picnic shelters and other areas where maintaining appropriate social distancing is difficult. The closure goes into effect immediately and will remain in place through April 30.
