Travel back to through time on September 9th for the Campfires and Candlelight at Fort Vancouver. This the national park’s largest living history event of the year that has something for everyone.
We are surrounded in Clark County by so much rich history, especially at the local favorite location Fort Vancouver. On July 21st and July 22nd you will get a chance to travel back in time that will highlight nearly 100 years of local military history.
The National Park Service is pleased to announce that a free World War II living history encampment will take place on Saturday, July 23, 2016, 9 am to 5 pm, just west of Pearson Air Museum. This event is in partnership with the Living History Group Northwest, a local World War II living history organization.
Help commemorate the 150th anniversary of the American Civil War by joining costumed re-enactors at the historic Fort Vancouver as they portray members of the Civil War-era 1st Oregon Volunteer Cavalry.
This free event (formerly the Herb Festival), but is an excellent “family fun” activity for kids and adults of all ages. Pomeroy Farm will be selling herb plants and organic vegetable plants, and a variety of vendors will be selling their wares. In addition the farm animals will be out for petting and the historic log house will be open for tours.
