Highlights from the WHDNA July, 17, 2013 meeting.
-Two Clark County Sheriff’s Officers were present. We had an open Q&A session with them regarding Hazel Dell crime and events. Currently a review of ordinances is underway, looking at options to prohibit panhandling.
-The summer months seemed to bring on an increase of senseless vandalism. There were several reports of vehicle windshields damaged by rocks thrown during drive-bys.
-As in the past, residents are urged to be aware of events, people and vehicles in their neighborhood. Don’t hesitate to call the police if you see something suspicious.
-It was decided that the WHDNA meetings will be reduced from quarterly to bi-annually. Mark your calendars now – our meetings will be held the 3rd Wednesday in April and October. Our next meeting will be Wednesday, October 15th. (6:30PM at Clearwater Springs).
