The Christmas tradition continues in Washougal with the annual Lighted Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting on Thursday, December 8, 2016. The parade begins at 6:00 pm and will run along Main Street, then end at Reflection Plaza where the tree lighting will take place at 6:30 p.m.
“This fun, festive holiday event keeps growing with more parade entries and more spectators lining the street each year,” said Washougal Mayor, Sean Guard. “It is a great way to get into the spirit of the season and celebrate our community.”
During and after the parade, the City is serving complimentary cookies, and coffee. Entertainment will include the Washougal High School X-Tet Chorus and WHS Band. “We hope families will come down early for a meal or snack and to do some shopping while in downtown for the parade,” said Heena, DWA president.
Santa Claus will be available before and after the parade for free printed photos for kids of all ages, compliments of Riverview Community Bank and Windows on Life Photography of Camas.
