Vancouver Volcanoes Season Getting Ready to Erupt

hey! sharing is caring :)

Shooting for a Title in 2011.

The Vancouver Volcanoes home opener will be Saturday, April 30, 2011, 7 pm, and will be played at the O’Connell Sports Complex at Clark College.

The Volcanoes are Vancouver USA’s semi-pro basketball team, and play in the International Basketball League (IBL). They’ve been around for seven years, and finished their 2010 season with 16 wins and 7 losses, and made it to the semi-finals before losing to the eventual IBL Champions, the Albany Legends.

There are 10 home games scheduled between April 30 and June 26, 2011. Season tickets are on sale now for just $30, that’s $30 for all 10 games, and it includes a free T-shirt! Also, the IBL has announced that the Vancouver Volcanoes were selected to host the 2011 IBL playoffs and Championship. The playoffs will be held on July 1st and 2nd where the top eight teams will battle to make it to the championship game. The championship game will be Sunday July 3rd. Times TBD.

With a smaller venue, only one time-out per quarter, and immediate inbounds, the result is a high scoring fast-paced game. Then add the Volcanoes Dancers, prizes, and yummy eats by Foody Blues BBQ and you have a fun night out for the whole family (without breaking the bank!)

For more  information, or to purchase tickets, visit Vancouver Volcanoes, or call 360-719-7163.
