Valentine’s Weekend Wine and Chocolate Tasting

Wine and chocolate and love…oh, my! Grab your Valentine and head out to some of our local wineries for a sweet weekend of wine and chocolate tasting Friday and Saturday, February 13 and 14, 2016.

There are lots of local wineries participating, and each is unique in their offerings. Below is a list of some of the participating venues, but please be sure to check with your destination for current hours, specials, and pricing.


Three Brothers Vineyard and Winery will be offering French Macarons and Beignets for tasting paired with their award winning wines. Tasting fees will be $10/person (Current Wine Club Members Free). ​As a special bonus, bring in a wine sales receipt from the weekend that you received from Bethany Vineyard & Winery or Gouger Cellars and receive 50% off a bottle of one of their Gold or Double Gold award winning wines! Open Friday 1 to 6; Saturday noon to 6; and Sunday noon to 5.

Heisen House Vineyards will host local chocolatier LivEat Chocolates pairing their handcrafted chocolates with Heisen House artisan wines. Come learn more about pairing wine and chocolate, and about how both are made from start to finish, at this delicious event. Relax, explore history and enjoy some wine and chocolate at breathtaking National and State Historic Site. Tasting fee of $5. Open Saturday and Sunday noon to 5.

Burnt Bridge Cellars will be showcasing three of their outstanding wines paired with hand-made vegan chocolates from Barbara Chen, Chocolatier. Barbara Chen will be in the Class Cooking kitchen making chocolates from 1 – 3 pm each day. This will be an opportunity for everyone to go in and make their own truffle. There is a $10 tasting fee.

Rusty Grape Vineyards will be pairing their wines and chocolate, as well as pouring up some sipping chocolate for you to indulge on. Presale is $5, $7 at the door. Saturday and Sunday noon to 5.

English Estate Winery is pairing up with Peggy’s Chocolates for a weekend of Sweetheart Tasting. Enjoy Estate wines, including a selection of their fortified dessert wines. Rezabek Vineyard will also be pouring their wines on the English Farm. Saturday and Sunday noon to 6.
