Unclaimed Art Auction to Benefit Ridgefield Family Resource Center

Ridgefield High School’s National Honor Society is hosting an online art sale to benefit the Ridgefield Family Resource Center. The “Unclaimed Art Auction” features pieces of artwork from local professional artists as well as unclaimed student artwork from RHS.

The sale is open from Saturday, May 1st through Friday, May 14th. When you purchase a piece of artwork, all proceeds will benefit the Ridgefield Family Resource Center, which directly supports the Ridgefield community.

Typically, Ridgefield High School’s National Honor Society students host an “Empty Bowl” fundraising event each winter. This year’s Empty Bowl event had to be canceled, but that didn’t deter the students from finding another way to benefit their community.

“I admire the tenacity of our National Honor Society students in overcoming this challenge,” said Tamara Hoodenpyl, RHS’ Visual Arts teacher and National Honor Society Advisor. “Instead of giving up during a difficult year, they found a creative solution to give back and help their community.”

Artwork can be purchased online at https://wa-ridgefield-lite.intouchreceipting.com/NHS.
