Taking Great Strides in Vancouver CF Walk

Downtown Vancouver WA CF Great Strides
hey! sharing is caring :)

May is Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month and what better way to get involved than to get your walk on this weekend in downtown Vancouver, WA. This Saturday, May 10th, Great Strides’ Portland chapter will be hosting the Vancouver WA Great Strides Walk. This is a great opportunity to not only get out and enjoy downtown, but it is also a great opportunity for people within the community to come together for a great cause.

So why is this so important? Approximately 30,000 Americans today are living with Cystic Fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe. By participating in the Vancouver Great Strides Walk, you are joining the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and a growing group of people committed to finding a cure. This is the Foundation’s largest national fundraising event,  with more than 125,000 people participating in hundreds of walks across the country to help fight CF and support the search for a cure.

Check in for this fun, family-oriented event will be at 9:00 am at Esther Short Park and will include a healthy 5k walk, children’s activities, food, and festivities. If walking is not your thing, come out to support the walk participants and learn more about how you can donate in other ways to this life saving cause.
