The Ridgefield School District Board of Directors announced the unanimous approval of Stephanie Goad as Assistant Principal of Sunset Ridge Intermediate School and View Ridge Middle School. This appointment was made on Tuesday, June 12th at a routine board meeting.

Goad comes to Ridgefield from Hockinson School District, where she has been for six years and currently serves as a K-4 intervention reading specialist. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Puget Sound and a Master’s degree in Teaching from Monmouth University. Stephanie started as a pre-school teacher in Seattle. After moving to New Jersey in 2004, she worked with children with autism as a teacher assistant and development therapist. According to Dr. Nathan McCann, District Superintendent, “Stephanie demonstrates a commitment to students at all learning levels. We are excited that she will be joining our administrative team.”

Stephanie has said, “I am honored and excited to be joining the Ridgefield School District. I look forward to building relationships with staff, students, and families of Sunset Ridge and View Ridge.”

Goad lives in Ridgefield with her husband and three kids. She also likes to hike, craft, and spend time in Cannon Beach with her family. She will officially start in Ridgefield on July 1st.
