As the old saying goes.. the best time to plant a tree is twenty years ago; the second-best time is now.
So while it might technically still be winter, start making plans to beautify your yard and help wildlife this spring – and beyond – by planting tree and shrub seedlings now. This popular annual event will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at the Battle Ground Albertsons, 2108 W. Main Street, from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. However, you should plan on being there earlier than later as they usually sell out. At a recent seedling sale, almost 12,000 trees were sold out before the “official” end time.

This event is held in conjunction with the Washington Farm Forestry Association, whose mission is to be Stewards of the Land For Generations to Come.
