The Salmon Creek Farmers’ Market is a community run market connecting local farm vendors, producers of wholesome food, and select artisans to the Salmon Creek community and its neighbors.
The 2020 Salmon Creek Farmers’ Market at Legacy Hospital usually opens with special events in April to celebrate Earth Day and usually shares some space at the Clark PUD Home and Garden Show at the Fairgrounds. This year, however, those events were canceled due to the COVID Shut Down guidelines.
The 2020 season of the Salmon Creek Farmers Market will run every Tuesday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, June 16th through October 20, 2020, at Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital (2211 NE 139th St, Vancouver).
There are some changes to the market for this year to be aware of. The market is now located in the East Parking Lot (facing the Vancouver Clinic) of the hospital and there are no vendors inside the lobby so as to respect the need to avoid congestion at the front entrance and inside the lobby of the hospital during this pandemic.
They are also asking guests to follow the advice and guidelines of the health experts, including:
*Wear a mask or face covering (if you’re missing a mask, see them at the Information Booth);
*Be aware of spatial distancing and stay 6′ from others who are not family members;
*Do not handle product, unless you are planning on purchasing it;
*Feel free to use the hand sanitizers placed around the market.
*Be prepared to bag your own product.
The Salmon Creek Farmers’ Market at Legacy Hospital accepts credit/debit and EBT, and offers SNAP Market Match of up to $20 on a SNAP transaction in market money for the purchase of fruits and vegetables. The market accepts WIC and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program checks.
