Salmon Creek Farmers Market Has a New Home

hey! sharing is caring :)

2011 Season Set to Open June 16.

Last year was the Salmon Creek Farmer’s Market first season, and it was a huge success! There are high expectations for the 2011 season, with an opening day set for Thursday, June 16, 2011.

The biggest hurdle this year was finding a location for the Salmon Creek Farmers Market. Last year it was over by Fred Meyer and the Three Creeks Library, but with all the construction going on, that just wasn’t an option this year.

“Thanks to the generosity of Dale Lang (Lang Plaza on NE 134 St), along with direction and guidance from Clark County’s Planning and Public Works departments, the Salmon Creek Farmers’ Market has a home for the 2011 season.

Dale has offered to let the market use the one-acre parcel of open land immediately behind the Wayside Shell gas station and store on the south side of NE 134 Street. This space is next to the Salmon Creek Four Square Church and Curves, just west of the I-5 southbound on-ramp.”

The Salmon Creek Farmers’ Market will be open on Thursdays between 3 and 7 pm, June 16 through September. Their emphasis of the market is to bring fresh food from our local farmers to Salmon Creek, and our neighbors; however, local artisans are also welcome (but on a regulated basis). Interested in being a vendor at the market this year? Check out the Vendor information on their website.
