Helping Children and Families With Special Needs.
Families who have children with special needs are invited to a Community Resource Fair Tuesday, October 5, from 6 to 7 p.m. The Resource Fair will be held at Sacajawea Elementary School (700 NE 112th St). It is open to families throughout the area and children are welcome.
Informational tables and displays will showcase resources available in the community. Local agency representatives and special education teachers will be on hand to answer questions, provide guidance, and suggest resources.
“We want to give families the opportunity to discover all the resources available in and around Vancouver,” said Kelli Nye, a teacher at Sacajawea who is coordinating the event. “Support is available, and we want to connect families with the support they need.”
