The 6th Annual Reflection Run on Sunday, May 23, 2021, will honor the brave men and women who have or are currently serving in our Armed Forces and remember those who have given the ultimate sacrifice fighting for our freedom.
The Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K running and walking courses will travel along the mighty Columbia River with views of Mt. Hood and the Gorge. The routes will be lined with local Hero Posters of those who have given the ultimate sacrifice and the event will benefit various Northwest Battle Buddies and other Military Organizations and Non-profits.
This will be a live event, with an after-party celebration. However, there are COVID guidelines in place to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable time. Athlete start times will be staggered over 6 hours to minimize crowding
and potential exposure. While the staggered starts are not the same crowd size as in a live, mass start – the event will be professionally timed, courses will be marked, and everyone will race the same course for fair scoring.
Being in Phase 3 also allows Why Racing Events to host an event Expo, Beverage Garden, and Award Ceremony. Spectators are allowed, so after your run or walk on the beautiful Washougal trail, enjoy some food and drink, share race stories, and meet Veterans or those currently serving in the Armed Forces so we can personally thank them for their service.
Reflection Run is always scheduled the Sunday before Memorial Day weekend so bring your kids so they can learn what the holiday is all about.
There are both Virtual and Live race options available, so sign up today! Veterans and kids 12 and under race for FREE.
