Athletes locally and worldwide are invited to participate in the virtual run/walk Race to Equality throughout February 2022. This third annual Race to Equality celebrates the achievements of many women of color who worked behind the scenes at NASA during America’s cold war, as told in the book and subsequent movie, “Hidden Figures.”
Racers have the option of completing their miles on their time, at their own pace, anytime during February 2022. Mileage options include 5k, 10k, Half Marathon, and the newly added Hidden Figures 135-Mile Challenge: One mile for each year these inspirational women worked for NASA.
Each runner or walker will receive an official Race to Equality finishers’ technical shirt, a medal, a BUFF, and a SWAG Bag.
A portion of the registration fee will be donated to support education and provide scholarships to local young adults of color.
