This is your chance to experience the atmosphere of one of the largest and oldest ports in the state, watch the port’s two mobile harbor cranes in action (each able to lift 140 metric tons!!), view the magnificent West Vancouver Freight Access Project, and see the many commodities that flow through the port including wheat, soybeans, corn and Subarus.
Attendees for the first tour will meet at 11:30 am at the port’s main office to meet staff, learn about the port through a short presentation, and then climb aboard a bus for the tour. Light refreshments will be served.
For more information on the tours, to register, or to check out future tour dates, visit the port’s website or call 360-693-3611. To adhere with the Port’s strict security requirements, reservations and photo ID are required. And leave the heat and those Canons at home as cameras and guns are not allowed! Tours last approximately two hours and are ideal for ages six and up.
This is YOUR port… time to check it out!
