People and Pups Come Out and Walk/Run for the Animals

hey! sharing is caring :)

On Saturday, May 6, 2017, grab your pup and head out for the Humane Society for Southwest Washington’s (HSSW) “Walk/Run for the Animals” to help raise funds to support 8,000+ animals in the Clark County area.

You will be joining in the synergy created by over 2,000 people and 1,000 dogs gathering to raise money for shelter animals.

Register HERE to choose from two dog friendly courses; a chip-timed 5K run through Fort Vancouver (with finishers medal), or a 3-mile walk along the Columbia River.

Check in at Esther Short Part at 7:30 am and browse pet-friendly businesses in the Vendor Village before the walk/run begins at 9:00 am.

Participants get a special treat for crossing the finish line and a goodie bag for people and pets.

After your walk or run, head back to Esther Short Park for the Party in the Park with dog agility demos, music, activities, awards and more fun for all.

This year, cat lovers take center stage with a live performance by Moshow, the Cat Rapper. A viral social media star, spreading positivity and love for cats and cat people from all walks of life.

Not to be outdone, approximately 800 dogs will be on parade at Esther Short Park during the fundraising event.
