The 2019 Youth Achievement Celebration has been scheduled for Sunday, June 9th and the Clark County Youth Commission is accepting nominations until Friday, March 15th at 5:00 PM.
As many as 300 local youth will be recognized in thirteen different categories. These areas include arts, career development, citizenship, courage, education, empathy, environmental stewardship, family life, inspiration, leadership, personal achievement, sportsmanship, and tolerance.
This recognition is an impactful way to show young people they have value and can connect to their community. Studies have shown that when youth are given the opportunity to have a positive involvement in their community and they are given recognition for that involvement, it helps them be healthy, happy, and successful.
Anyone can make nominations, including oneself. Nomination forms can be found online at Clark County Community Services Youth Achievement. If you or someone you know deserves to be recognized, don’t delay and nominate today!
