Annual Clark County Fire District 6 Open House.
Clark County Fire District 6 is inviting the community to visit its Hazel Dell Fire Station (8800 NE Hazel Dell Avenue) for an afternoon of fun and learning on Saturday, June 1, 2013 from noon to 4:00 pm.
This year’s annual Open House theme is “Our House, Is Your House.” The day will include: car extrications; K-9 demonstrations by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office; a Life Flight helicopter; mural painting by Northwest Natural; low-cost bicycle helmets provided by Southwest Washington Medical Center; fire engine rides; a junior firefighter challenge (where kids put on turnouts and spray a fire hose), tour an AMR ambulance, and much more.
Applebee’s will be there serving free Oriental and Caesar Salads. The Salmon Creek Lions club will cook and serve free hot dogs donated by Northwest Natural. Also available will be free chips, donated by Paul Davis Restoration; pop donated by Corwin; snow cones and popcorn donated by People’s Community Credit Union.
This event guarantees great fun for the entire community. Everyone is invited to attend.
