North Clark Historical Museum Parking Lot Sale and Shred Event

hey! sharing is caring :)

While everyone knows that we should protect ourselves from cyber identity theft it’s easy to forget that the threat of “paper” identity theft is still very real. If you’ve got old documents around you’re going to want to mark your calendars for the North Clark Historical Museum Shred Day event on Saturday, September 26, 2020.

As a bonus, they are also having a Parking Lot Sale on Friday and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Shop for household goods, books toys, cookbooks, and more. You can also purchase a raffle ticket for “Stars on the Prairie” quilt.

The shred event will take place at the North Clark Historical Museum (21416 NE 399TH ST, Amboy) from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Shredding those documents isn’t only good for your safety, it’s good for the environment.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), each recycled ton of paper fiber saves:
17 trees
3.3 cubic yards of landfill space
360 gallons of water
100 gallons of gasoline
60 pounds of pollutants
10,400 kilowatts of electricity

So save your identity and the environment at the same time!

Donations are greatly appreciated as the shred event and parking lot sale are a fundraiser for the museum.
