Vancouver Lake Regional Park is a heavily visited destination in Clark County with more than 22,000 vehicles visiting in 2018. As with anything that gets heavy use, the play equipment wore down over time and several pieces had to be removed for safety. This left the park feeling empty and gave limited play options for children.
With the help of a Clark County Parks Foundation grant, a Spin-Max Tower from Allplay Systems was placed in the park in August. It has quickly gained popularity as a park favorite for the kids.
Interim Parks and Lands Division Manager, Kevin Tyler, said, “This new equipment was sorely needed for this popular regional park. We are very thankful for the funding support from the Parks Foundation. With their support, we were able to provide more opportunities for children and their families to get outside and connect with the incredible natural assets we have here in Clark County”.
Vancouver Lake Regional Park is a 190-acre park that spans 2.5 miles along the western end of Vancouver Lake. For more information, visit Clark County Public Works online.
