Meeting Reminder: Energy Education

MAY MEETING REMINDER
Held at Clearwater Springs Assisted Living Center, 201 NW 78th Street, starting at 6:30, goes until about 8:00 p.m.

With Earth Day just past it seems a perfect time to look at alternate sources of the energy we use every day. Sunlight Solar Energy will present our May program. They have recently finished a series of 10 educational workshops on Solar in Clark County and are in the process of planning a few more. The majority of these will likely take place near Columbia Springs on Evergreen Highway. However, they will ensure other neighborhoods also have access the free education and information by offering shorter presentations to be held during regularly scheduled Neighborhood Association meetings in the Clark County area. They have a good bit of information up on our website www.solar4good.org. Solar 4 Good is a program started in which they partner with local non-profits in different areas for specific outreach campaigns. This year in Clark County they’ve partnered with Columbia Springs, a local educational non-profit located down off of Evergreen Highway. On the program website they list upcoming workshops in different areas and some of the main topics covered in the presentations, as well as any other resources thought to be useful to anyone trying to get a solar system for their home or business.

Come to the next West Hazel Dell Neighborhood meeting on May 15 – be part of where you are and share your ideas for our area’s needs. – Ila Stanek, President WHDNA
