The Community Solar Project showcases an ‘array’ of opportunity.
Recently, Clark Public Utilities hosted over 200 Community Solar participants, local and state elected officials, and invited guests in a celebration of the recently launched Community Solar Project.
The five projects, built adjacent to each other on property south of the Clark Public Utility’s Orchards location at the corner of Padden Parkway and 117th Avenue, are owned by more than 700 participants who purchased between 1 and 100 $100 units. The units are 1/12 of a solar panel each and with state incentives and the utility’s production credits, owners can expect to recoup the cost of participation in less than four years.
