As tax season comes to a close on May 17, 2021, (an extension this year from the usual from April 15th) the Lions Clubs of Clark County are offering secure shredding for all those sensitive household documents you amassed over the past year.
The Lions are planning four shredding events across the county and will be scheduled for three-hour blocks of time, all starting at 10:00 AM and continuing to 1:00 PM, or until the shred truck is filled. So, try and arrive earlier than later to increase your chance of getting your documents shredded.
The upcoming dates are:
Saturday, May 1, 2021: The first event will be hosted by the Battle Ground Lions, at the empty lot on the corner of W. Main and NW 20th Avenue (Near the Albertsons).
Saturday, May 8, 2021: The next event will be hosted by the Camas Lions, at the Interfaith Treasure House located at 91 C Street in Washougal.
Saturday, May 15, 2021: The third event, hosted by the Salmon Creek Lions will be held at the Salmon Creek Chucks Produce, located at 2302 NE 117th Street.
Saturday, May 22, 2021: The final shredding event in May is hosted by the Fort Vancouver Lions and will take place at the Mill Plain United Methodist Church located at 15804 SE Mill Plain Blvd.
Again, all shredding events will begin at 10 am and continue for 3 hours, or until the truck is filled. While all events are free, donations, including non-perishable food items, are greatly appreciated and 100% of all funding and food donations will directly benefit local charities in our community!
