Salmon Creek Farmers Market Joins the Fun.
Bring the whole family to the annual Legacy Salmon Creek Healthy Kids Fair taking place Saturday, June 9, 2012 between 10 am and 2 pm. This free event will be held at Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital (2211 NE 139th Street, Vancouver).
New this year, the Salmon Creek Farmers Market will be there offering fresh produce and plant starts for your own garden.
Kids can perform surgery on “Surgi-duck”, explore “EDITH” (the Clark County Fire District 6 Fire Safety House), have their faces painted, and visit “Germ City”.
There will be a helmet sale ($5 for bike helmets and $20 for snowboard helmets) and fittings; as well as the opportunity to recycle your used or damaged child car seats and bike helmets free of charge, healthy kids check and thumb cast, poison prevention and more.
For the second year, the hospital will hold a food drive to benefit families and children served by the Children’s Center. Staples such as peanut butter, tuna, canned meat, pasta and sauce, and rice and beans are most needed.
