Take a little Hawaiian vacation without ever leaving Vancouver. This year the Ke Kukui Foundation in a community partnership with the Community Wide Diversity Events Committee at Clark College will present the May Day Arts and Crafts Festival and Concert on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Clark College Gaiser Hall between 10 am and 6 pm.
There will be lots of flowers, beautiful lei, and a whole lot of ALOHA. The May Day Court will be there, comprised of the 2016 May Day King and Queen and their eight Hawaiian Island princess attendants, wearing their respective island flower lei and colors.
Performing artists will include Uncle Roland Espe, Ka Pā Hula O Kana‘iaupuni, Hālau Hula O Manuiki, Kaleinani O Ke Kukui, and headlining the event will be Kaloku and the Krew! Make a lei using flowers, seeds and greenery from our beautiful Pacific Northwest and enter it into the contest.
Cost is $5 pre-sale and $7 at the door. FREE for keiki (children) age 10 and under and FREE for Clark College students with a valid student ID. Tickets are available from Patrick’s Hawaiian Cafe or Brown Paper Tickets. Clark College is located at 1933 Fort Vancouver Way, Vancouver, WA.
