49th Annual Clark College Jazz Festival.
This Festival attracts over 60 high school vocal and instrumental jazz ensembles for a three day competitive event. Vocal Jazz preliminary competitions begin at 1 p.m. on Thursday and Jazz Ensemble competitions begin at 8 a.m. Friday and Saturday. All high school preliminary competitions end at 5 p.m. with the evening finals competitions beginning at 7 p.m. each evening.
The Clark College Vocal Jazz Ensemble performs at 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Thursday and the Clark College Jazz Ensemble performs at 11 a.m. on Thursday, noon and 9 p.m. on Friday, and at noon on Saturday. The previous year’s Sweepstakes Band holds the spotlight on Saturday evening at 9:00 p.m.
Clark College is located at 1933 Fort Vancouver Way, Vancouver. Gaiser Hall is located on the northwest corner of the main campus on Fort Vancouver Way, between McLoughlin Blvd. and Fourth Plain Blvd. General admission to the festival is $5 per day. Clark College students and children under 12 accompanied by an adult will be admitted free of charge.
