Did you know Mason Bees are one of about 4000 native North American bees, without which most of our fruits and vegetables would not produce?
Find out how easy it is to attract and maintain these important pollinators in your yard at the NatureScaping Native Bees Workshop on Saturday, December 16, 2017, from 10:00 am to noon presented by Brigg Franklin, Master Composter/Recycler and Mason Beekeeper.
Learn about the bees and then get hands-on experience as they will also be cleaning cocoons (volunteers welcome!) for their plant sale in the spring. In exchange for your time helping clean cocoons, you get to go home with some of your very own bee cocoons! Cocoon cleaning will go past the normal noon hour to get as many cleaned as possible.
Workshops are free for Naturescaping members or $15.00 for non-members. Membership per year is $20.00 ($15.00) for seniors.
Classes located in Building B, Room 206 of the CASEE Center. Naturescaping Wildlife Botanical Gardens are located at 11000 NE 149th St, Brush Prairie, WA. 360-737-1160
