First Thursday Museum After Hours

hey! sharing is caring :)

Have you watched the movie Night at the Museum? Have you ever wondered what it would be like to experience the museum at night? Well we cannot promise that the statues will come to life, but you are sure to have an interesting adventure at the Clark County Historical Museum (CCHM) during their First Thursday Museum After Hours event.

On June 5th, you will get double the presentation. First, at 5:00 pm, you will be treated to the exhibit opening of Art of Legacy. This exhibit brings together pieces from the advanced art class at Jefferson Middle School. The students work was inspired by artifacts from the museum and part of a semester project. At 7:00 pm, you can sit back and enjoy the Museum After Hours Lecture: Art of Legacy Project, where you will have the opportunity to learn more about this impactful and educational project.

CCHM is located in Vancouver’s 1909 Carnegie Library building at 1511 Main Street. Call for details on admission prices (360-993-5679) or visit the museum online at www.cchmuseum.org.

Museum After Hours happens the first Thursday of each month February through November. Regular museum hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Can’t make it to one of the lectures, well you are in luck. All of the past First Thursday lectures are syndicated via podcast and available on the CCHM website.
