Rural Heritage Day.
The Felida Red Barn (1915 NW 119th St) will be having its annual Rural Heritage Fair on Saturday, September 12, 2009 from 10 am to 5 pm. This is a chance for kids and grownups to take a trip back in time on a farm that has been around since the 1940’s!
There will be antique tractors, small engines, and a variety of old fashioned farm equipment from ground working equipment to household items. Better bring your muscles too, as there will be butter churning, rope making, corn grinding, apple pressing and a wool spinning demonstration. And animals, too, of course. What visit to a farm would be complete without them?
Jollies Restaurant will be providing pulled pork sandwich meals for purchase, and the Felida Red Barn has tons of fresh food, and unique items for sale in the barn. The weather is supposed to be great, so hope to see you there!
