Felida 4th of July Parade

hey! sharing is caring :)

And Community Celebration in the Park.

The 10th Annual Felida Fourth of July Children’s Parade and Celebration will take place Wednesday, July 4, 2012  at Felida Park (off NW 36th Ave and NW 122nd St in Felida) between 11 am and 2:30 pm.

The Felida Neighborhood Association, in partnership with the North Salmon Creek Neighborhood Association, the Hazel Dell Salmon Creek Business Association , Salmon Creek Lions (and many others) invite you to join in this fun community event.

The Felida Neighborhood Association began a 4th of July non-motorized kids’ parade in 2002. At the beginning, about 50 children participated. Now the numbers are well over 1,000. The parade begins at 11:00 a.m. at the Felida Park, travels along 36th Avenue for several blocks and returns back to the park for a barbeque and fun field games with prizes.

While it’s always fun to watch the parade, why not be IN the parade? Wear your favorite red, white and blue, have the kids decorate their bike, trike, or wagon and then march, ride and wave along the streets of Felida (don’t worry, the roads along the parade route will be closed). Just a reminder, all riders must wear helmets and no motorized vehicles, political campaigns or throwing candy!

After the parade, hang out at Felida Park for the 4th of  July Community Celebration! There will be a free food, beverages, ice cream, face painting, antique fire engine rides, games, entertainment and more!
