What Are You Thirsty For?
The central Vancouver Artisan beverage makers will be hosting their second DrinkThis! beverage tasting event promoting craft beverage makers (beer, wine, coffee, tea, soda, cider, spirits…) on Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 4 pm to 9 pm.
Enjoy unique drinks, craft brews, music, demonstrations and lively discussion from the drink masters about their craft. The event will include 3 wineries, 3 breweries, 4 coffee roasters, a tea blender and a kombucha maker. The stroll stretches from 6th Street to 20th Street in the central Vancouver corridor. Businesses will be open extra hours offering unique and special tastings.
Participants can begin at any of the businesses where they can pick up a map to plan their evening and be sure to hit all of the locations. There is no overall charge to participate, but some businesses may charge for samples. It is up to each individual business.
Primary Participants are: Burnt Bridge Cellars, 1500 Broadway; Gouger Cellars, 1812 Washington St.; Loowit Brewing Company, 507 Columbia St.; Mint Tea, 2014 Main St.; Ivy Tap Room, 108 W. Evergreen Blvd.; Mt Tabor Brewery, 113 W. 9th St.; Compass Coffee, 1304 Main St.; Torque Coffee Roasters, 501 Columbia St.; Brewed, 603 Main St.; and Charlie’s Bistro, 1220 Main St., and Bader Beer and Wine Supply (demonstrating at Loowit Brewery).
Also, hosting other local liquid masters are Niche, 1013 Main St.; Kiggins Theater, 1011 Main St.; C’est La Vie, 1015 Main St. hosting Enchanted Tea; Cakes by Design, 207 E.McLoughlin Blvd, hosting Paper Tiger Coffee Roasters; Vancouver Pizza Company, 2219 Main St; Beigeblonde, 909 Main St., hosting Rain Drop Roasters; and Vancouver Food Coop, 1002 Main St.
