Dozer Days: Not Just For Kids

hey! sharing is caring :)

Where Kids (and kids at heart) Drive the Heavy Equipment.

Vancouver, WA, Dozer Days, Clark County, EventsDozer Days, presented by the Nutter Foundation , is a fun family event where kids, and grownups, can get close to, and even drive big yellow dozers, dump trucks, and other heavy equipment (of course, there will be a professional driver at their side!) Dozer Days will be Saturday and Sunday, May 15-16, 2010 from 11 am to 4 pm at the Cemex/Fisher Quarry, just off Highway 14 at the 192nd Avenue Exit.

“Dozer Day is a fun event for the entire family. For grown-ups, the diamond dig, tool dig and operating equipment is popular, along with a picnic in the park and KUPL live on site. For kids of all ages, Radio Disney, riding all kinds of equipment, digging for treasures, tire and pipe crawls and collecting stickers for the hard hats are top choices. Families can also look and climb over a collection of antique equipment, watch how curbs are made or even watch a concrete pumper in action. Adults may also participate in the Dozer Rodeo. A Big Hauler takes visitors around the entire site. Washington State Patrol, local fire departments, S.W.A.T. and Waste Connections are also great fun.”

But more than just great fun, Dozer Days is an annual fundraising event for many local, children’s charities. Last year, Dozer Days drew over 16,000 people and raised almost $100,000!

Advance discounted tickets can be purchased at participating IQ Credit Unions, First Independent Banks, Riverview Community Banks, and OnPoint Community Credit Unions, or online at The Nutter Foundation website.
