In his new capacity, Scott works with the more than two-dozen official Neighborhood Associations in Clark County, assisting in communications efforts between County government, the Neighborhood Associations, and the stakeholders they serve.

In related news, a Clark County neighborhood association’s newsletter was recently recognized for excellence at the Neighborhoods, USA annual conference in Memphis, Tennessee.

The East Minnehaha and Roads End Neighborhood Associations “Happenings” earned second place in the NUSA 2016 Neighborhood Newsletter Competition for electronic formats published six or fewer times per year. A panel of national neighborhood leaders evaluated branding, aesthetics and design, technical layout and content.

East Minnehaha Neighborhood Association President Lynda Maguire and Vice President Sue Lintz (pictured above with the NUSA representative) accepted the award from NUSA President André Bernard during the conference’s closing ceremony May 28.
