The Confluence Land Bridge is an earth-covered pedestrian bridge arching over State Highway 14 that reconnects the historic Fort Vancouver with the Columbia River. If you’ve never walked it before, these interpretive walks are a great time to take a hike.
Join Grand Ronde Lifeways Instructor Greg Archuleta on an interpretive native plant walk over the Confluence Land Bridge and learn about the site’s indigenous plants, walk under the bridge’s Welcome Gate, and connect more deeply to the history of this area we call home.
The walk will start at Old Apple Tree Park on the south side of the land bridge and ends with a display of Chinookan material culture and demonstrations for continued discussions.
These walks are free to attend. Contact Confluence Program Manager Courtney Yilk at 360-693-0123 with any questions.
Walks will take place on August 26 (9-11am), September 16 (10-Noon), and October 7, 2017, (12-2pm).
