Clark Public Utilities Offers Free Workshops This Fall

hey! sharing is caring :)

Are you interested in learning more about our local watersheds? Do you have concern for our local environment and want to know how to make a difference> The Stream Stewards program is for you!

What is the Stream Stewards program? It is a workshop based program created specifically for concerned citizens who are committed to bettering their community through action. The Stream Stewards program allows Clark County residents to learn about local environmental topics through professional level, skill based workshops.

Program Purpose
The goal of this six-week course is to increase awareness about geology, hydrology, riparian and wetland habitat, wildlife, water quality and stream restoration.  See class list here.

Tuition
Tuition is free of charge. However, Stewards are asked to complete 45 hours of volunteer time through a variety of activities with the StreamTeam or a program partner in their first year. Many are leadership opportunities and Stream Steward exclusives.
