Do you want to be a Survivor…or a Zombie? Either way, Zombie Fest 2013 is gonna be “killer fun”.
Run 2 Survive Zombie Fest 2013 is a 2.5 mile family fun run taking place on Saturday, November 2, 2013. Energy Events has teamed up with the Evergreen School District Foundation for one of the coolest races around! Here’s how it will work: Survivors are given two “lifelines” (flags attached to a belt) and a two minute head start. Zombies then come after you. The goal, of course, is to finish the race before you lose your lifelines!
The other goal is to help raise funds and awareness for the Evergreen School District Foundation; “a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the Evergreen Public Schools, the ESDF partners with our community to bridge the basic needs gap, foster innovative and engaging learning experiences and maximize opportunities to ensure that all students have access to a world-competitive education.”
The fun starts with Ghouls for Schools at 3:00 pm (before it gets dark and before the Zombies come out), a short fun run for the kiddos. The “Survivors” will start at approximately 5:00 pm, with the Zombies starting chase 2 minutes later (hey, did you know Zombies also get a race discount? Check it out here). The Witches Brewfest will be open from 4 pm to 10 pm serving up potions from 10 local northwest breweries.
