Clark County Cash Mobs

hey! sharing is caring :)

Join the Power of the Mob.

This Saturday, March 24, 2012 has been designated as International Cash Mob Day; and over 170 Cash Mobs will be occurring across the country and around the world on this day. Clark County Cash Mobs will be joining them. We will be meeting at noon at Pacific Continental Bank in Downtown Vancouver (911 Main Street, Vancouver, WA) and then walking to a local store to support it, meet each other and have fun!

So, now that you know when and where Clark County Cash Mobs is meeting, do you really know what Clark County Cash Mobs is all about? Cash Mobs is a new movement aimed at supporting local businesses and rebuilding communities. A Cash Mob is a Flash Mob, but instead of singing, dancing or rioting, Cash Mobbers join together and each spend about $10 at a local business. “The bottom line is that many local businesses are struggling in this tough economy, and this is a great opportunity to show them that the community has their back.”

After the event, which is scheduled to end at 2 p.m., celebrate a job well done with fellow mobbers at the newly-opened Vinnie’s Pizza in downtown Vancouver. There will even be a special coupon from Vinnie’s for every cash mob participant to use.

Of course all members of the public are encouraged to participate, and we would love for you to come out and join us.

Here’s a look at our Clark County Cash Mob rules:

1. Clark County Cash Mob members may nominate one local business per month.
2. The business must be locally owned.
3. The business owner must approve the Cash Mob before the mob is announced (this allows them to be appropriately staffed & stocked).
4. Cash Mob members are encouraged to spend a target amount of $10, all members are welcome to spend more if they wish.
5. The Cash Mob date & location will be announced at least one week in advance on Facebook and Twitter.
6. Participants are encouraged to join us in celebration at a local food & beverage establishment after a successful mob.
7. Individual businesses may only qualify to be mobbed once in a calendar year.
8. Post-mob photos will be shared on Facebook and with local media so that the entire community can celebrate our cause.
9. Have fun!
10. Rules are subject to change (except #9).”
