Chalk the Walks is all about spreading joy, optimism and inspiration through the magical power of sidewalk chalk. On Tuesday, August 20th, 2013 simply write an uplifting message in chalk on your sidewalk, driveway or parking lot; then share!
Remember when you were a kid and you’d draw pictures and write happy thoughts with chalk in your driveway and down the sidewalks of your street? And the adults always smiled when they read the big, pastel-colored messages? This is just like that. Only we’re bigger now. And we don’t have to go in the house when it gets dark. 
Don’t want to chalk alone? Join the fun of a Chalking Party in Uptown Village right on Main Street in Downtown Vancouver from 10 am to 1 pm. You can even pick up free chalk at Umpqua Bank beginning Monday, August 12.
