Stay cool and enjoy some “Small Town Summer Fun” at Camas First Friday, August 5, 2016, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
The themed activity in the participating businesses is the “Camas Paper Dash”; do some easy and fun “challenges” throughout participating businesses, earn tickets to win, and find out some cool facts about Camas! Earn 5 extra tickets for wearing something made out of paper, a fun tribute to the town’s mill history.
There will be an Outdoor Summer Party sponsored by Nuestra Mesa. They will be expanding their outdoor dining area, grilling up delicious delights, offering brews by Heathen Brewing, and hosting fantastic live music by the Lance Kinnaird Band. (4th Avenue from Adams to Birch will be closed for the party!) Kids, get your paintbrushes ready…The Paint Roller, Mobile Paint Party will be at Camas First Friday, too.
“There is a lot going on this First Friday!” says Carrie Schulstad, Executive Director of the Downtown Camas Association (DCA). “Fantastic live music, outdoor dining, summer activities and crafts for the kids, incredible art receptions, sales in the shops, and a new activity in the downtown businesses coordinated by Spears Strong. Come do some fun challenges and earn tickets to win! We want to thank Spears and Nuestra Mesa as well for again bringing so much additional excitement to this event.”
