The Carnival is Back in Town.

The 53rd Annual Battle Ground Harvest Days will return this year to Fairgrounds Park and will provide the entire family a chance for a variety of family focused events and fun in their community. Harvest Days runs from Friday, July 19th through Sunday, July 21st, 2013 with a teen event presented by Rocksolid Teen Center starting things off on Thursday, July 18th.

“We wanted to bring back Harvest Days bigger and better and provide an enjoyable and memorable time for everyone in the community,” says Carrie Schulstad, Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce. “There has been some transition in the last few years and we are working to strengthen Harvest Days and focus on the small town community feel that means so much to the citizens of Battle Ground. We also want to show off  Battle Ground so people know why it’s so great!”

The Harvest Nights Car Cruise is one of the most popular parts of the Harvest Days event and invites hundreds of classic, custom, and specialty cars to cruise Main Street Friday night (July 19, 2013) from 7-10pm. A burn out pit will be showcased. A dance and Elvis music performance by Mark and the Memphis Kings starts at 9pm and a beer garden will be on site near Chevron on Main (409 East Main St). Visit Battle Ground Harvest Nights Car Cruise for all the info and registration.

The annual Harvest Days Grand parade will start on Saturday morning at 10:00am on Main Street, followed by a whole weekend full of entertainment. Click here for a full schedule of entertainment and activities. The carnival is also back this year, so bring the whole family for carnival entertainment (and rides) for kids of all ages.

Bingo and a 50/50 raffle are also fun traditions at Harvest Days. Food and market vendors, a beer and wine garden, a shop hop “Poker Tour”, and the chance for the community to come together to have fun are all part of this weekend event.

Harvest Days is held at Fairgrounds Park, 912 East Main, next to and in the Battle Ground Community Center. Opening ceremony is at 6pm on Friday night and all public is encouraged to attend. For a full schedule of events and information, visit the Battle Ground Chamber of commerce, Harvest Days.
