Artful Offerings and Antiques

The 8th annual Vintage and Art Faire will return to the beautiful tree-lined streets of Downtown Camas this year on Saturday, August 27, 2016, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. This event brings over 60 vintage, antique, and local art vendors that fill the town with all things vintage, antique, repurposed, and artful.

Vintage offerings include a huge variety of indoor and outdoor furniture and home and garden items as well as clothing and accessories. Art selections include professional quality paintings, metal work, garden art, photography, handmade jewelry, fiber art, recycled art, and more. The Faire is on 4th Avenue and Birch Streets, near Camas Antiques, 305 NE 4th Avenue.

Check out antiques dating over 100 years old, including vintage dressforms and one of a kind pieces created from vintage items. Discover recycled and reimagined vintage finds for your home and garden—always as well as shabby, industrial, rusty and crusty vintage finds. “I am honored to be organizing the vintage portion of the faire this year,” says Jenn LaZier, manager for Camas Antiques. “I can’t wait to see all of the incredible vintage finds the vendors bring, creative displays that show their true passion, and simply spend the day among people I admire so much.”

Exceptional artist and crafters will include seasonal folk art, eclectic and stylish jewelry made of vintage glass beads and recycled items, paper art, recycled metal, and several painters will be bringing high quality originals and print options to the faire.

Live music by the Carol Rossio Jazz Trio with many songs in French will perform from 12:30pm-3:00pm. Fresh food options will include sweet and savory waffles by Hello Waffle, My Dad’s Kettle Korn, shave ice by Burris’ Tasty Treats, and pies and pastries by Truly Scrumptious.

“This a lovely annual event,” says Carrie Schulstad, Executive Director of the Downtown Camas Association (DCA). “There is nothing more fun than strolling the charming streets of downtown and finding both vintage and artful treasures and being able to meet and talk with the local vendors and artists. Add in some shopping throughout the downtown shops and a relaxing lunch you can make a full day of it!”
