A Christmas Tail Boutique Opens at ReTails Thrift Store

The first glimmer of the holidays marches into ReTails Thrift Store at the beginning of November with its seasonal boutique, A Christmas Tail. Staged inside ReTails each year, the boutique gives shoppers access to a dashing array of donated holiday merchandise that’s been carefully preserved and stored away throughout the year. Because ReTails is owned and operated by the Humane Society for Southwest Washington (HSSW), all proceeds help provide shelter animals with food and housing, medical support and adoption services.

“We’ve expanded our holiday space inside the store to make room for an even greater assortment of items than we had last year,” says Paul MacKay, Vice President of Retail Operations for HSSW. “We’re adding a fourth cash register to improve customer service during checkout, and we anticipate record sales which will support the shelter’s efforts to care for the animals while they await new homes.”

This year’s in-store boutique will greet shoppers with cheerful merchandise and quality embellishments. Wreaths, yard decorations, artificial trees in all sizes, ornaments, nutcrackers, snow globes, and holiday linens and dishware are among the festive items. Everything is organized by category to make the shopping experience easy, and shelves are restocked each day.

The holiday boutique will open to the general public on Saturday, November 2, 2019, at 10:00 AM. ReTails Thrift Store is located at 5000 East Fourth Plain Boulevard, Vancouver. Regular Store Hours are Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
