Save a Life at the Jim Parsley Center

hey! sharing is caring :)

Community Blood Drive for Southwest Washington Medical Center.

Did you know that one pint of blood can save up to three lives? Or that every two seconds someone needs a blood transfusion, and every year about five million patients in the US need blood? That life saving blood cannot be manufactured; it can only come from volunteer donors.

The Southwest Washington Blood Program in partnership with the Jim Parsley Center, will be holding a community blood drive on Wednesday, March 2 from 10am – 4pm (closed for lunch from 12:30pm – 1:30pm) You can make an appointment by calling Marla Wood at 360-313-4952 or e-mail her at [email protected] If you are unable to commit to a specific donation time, please stop by as a walk-in donor. They will be set up inside the Jim Parsley Center’s Classroom #2.

The Southwest Washington Blood Program supplies all of the blood needed at Southwest Washington Medical Center, about 10,000 pints needed every year, so please support your local blood bank!! For eligibility questions please call 1-800-398-7888.

As I’ve mentioned before, I am a blood donor and I am blessed that I have never needed a transfusion, and that I am healthy enough to give blood. It is safe, doesn’t hurt, and, it makes me feel really good to know that I helped save a life. Be someone’s Hero, donate blood!
