Don’t look at the calendar – ok, go ahead, look it’s here – but we’re coming up on the end of September, and, of course, that means Oktoberfest. Calendar challenged as it may seem, it’s all good.
The 2014 Shorty’s Oktoberfest is Friday, September 19, from 5-11PM. This event is a wonderful community celebration that helps raise funds for the Fort Vancouver Regional Library District’s Summer Reading Program. This authentic German Oktoberfest event features Donaumusikanten (quick, say that three times really fast) :) – a hugely popular band direct from Bavaria, a Stein Hoisting competition sponsored by Samuel Adams Octoberfest beer, and true German cuisine prepared by Beaches Catering.
The Fort Vancouver Regional Library (FVRL) Foundation supports the programs and services provided to local communities by the FVRL Library District. You can get tickets for the Shorty’s Oktoberfest Celebration at Vancouver Shorty’s Garden & Home. Advance tickets are $20 the event will likely sell out! All tickets include admission to Oktoberfest celebration and one beverage token.
Event Location: Shorty’s Garden and Home, 10006 SE Mill Plain Blvd.
Please remember, it is a 21 and over only event.
