Annual Event at Esther Short Park Vancouver USA.
Come for the art, the entertainment, the information, or just ’cause you’re curious; it’s the annual Recycled Arts Festival at Esther Short Park taking place this year Saturday and Sunday, June 29-30, 2013.
How much fun can recycling be, right? Well, tons! I am always amazed by what folks can make from recycled (sometimes thrown away) items. In past years, I’ve seen bird feeders made from cups and saucers, aprons made from plastic grocery bags, bags and coin purses made from chip bags and drink pouches, wind chimes made from kitchen utensils…and sooo much more!
But the Recycled Arts Festival is about more than just art. There’s music, kids activities, information, and the Vancouver Farmers Market right next door!
“The Recycled Arts Festival started 8 years ago, as a way to educate and get the community excited about waste reduction, reuse, and recycling in Clark County. It has grown into a huge family event, with more and more artists participating every year. Come on out and peruse the artists’ wares, help your kids make their own handiwork, relax and listen to music, and get all sorts of info on what you can do to improve the environment!” ~Recycled Arts Festival
The Recycled Arts Festival downtown Vancouver USA is free to attend and will be open Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm. For more information, visit the Recycled Arts Festival online.
