Do you have an interest in the Vancouver Fire Department? Do you have a desire to improve the safety of your community? If you answered yes, then now is the time to apply to volunteer for the Fire Corps community education program.
The Fire Corps national volunteer program gives citizens the opportunity to support their local fire department through time and talents. Some things volunteers do are as followed:

- Making fire and life safety presentations at local preschools and kindergarten classes
- Conducting home safety surveys

- Developing marketing and promotional materials and public service announcements
- Research and technology
- Translations and/or interpretation
Applicants can apply online HERE through September 21st. Applicants must be a US citizen, be at least 16 years old, and pass a background check. If chosen, one must complete Fire Corps training, be willing to commit to at least five volunteer events, and attend seven monthly meetings per year.
