A Celebration of North Clark County.
The First Annual Battle Ground Tastes and Tunes will take place on Saturday, July 14, 2012 from 4 to 8 pm at the Gardener Center (Hwy 503 and SW Eaton Blvd, Battle Ground, WA).
“Presented by the Battle Ground Rotary Club as a fundraiser to help in our continued efforts towards raising money for special and needed projects within the community and abroad, as well as scholarships for our high school seniors.
The idea and theme of this event is for it to be somewhat similar to “The Bite” held at the end of summer in Portland. Only ours will be held on a little smaller scale, given Battle Ground is of course a smaller community, yet definitely still very much large in heart!
Our vision and intentions are to feature & showcase several local area restaurants, wineries, musicians and vendors wanting to participate. And our community will be invited to come out and “try” what North Clark County has to offer on this special day!
As mentioned, this is a fundraiser, therefore the funds raised from this event will be used to help several programs in our community and internationally. These programs include scholarships to graduating seniors, the Rock Solid Community Teen Center, Loaves and Fishes, the Dictionary Program for third graders in our community, the YWCA CASA Program (court appointed special advocate), the North County Food Bank, as well as, funding of secondary education for Guatemalan children and other international humanitarian efforts, just to name a few. We couldn’t provide assistance to these programs without the help of our generous donors and the community.
