While it might still be winter, landowners can begin making plans to beautify their yards and help wildlife this spring – and beyond – by planting tree and shrub seedlings now. You can find a wide variety, and great prices, at the Seedling Sale taking place on Saturday, March 25, 2017.
This event is hosted by the Clark County Farm Forestry Association with assistance from Washington State University Master Gardeners. Come out to the Battle Ground Albertson’s (2108 W Main St., Battle Ground, WA 98604) on March 25, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and shop the seedling sale.
Choose from Northwest sturdy varieties of Cedar, Fir, Spruce, Hemlock and Pine. If you are looking for something special to add to your yard you can find Flowering Currant, Pacific Willow, Red Osier Dogwood and many more.
There will be over 20 types of trees to choose from. Check out the event’s flyer to plan ahead.
Prices range from $1 to $4 each. Volunteers will be available to answer questions and help you make the best selection for your yard.
