Head to Ridgefield for the 15th Annual Birdfest and Bluegrass Celebration on October 4th and 5th, 2014 from 8am to 6pm..
Flock down to the Old Liberty Theater to kick off the weekend with a viewing of Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds on Friday at 7pm.
Get ready for all things birds with this year’s lineup of festival activities. Put on those hiking boots and join the Audubon guided family bird walk on Saturday or Sunday from 10:30 to 12:30. The Oregon Zoo will be bringing friends on Sunday from 2pm to 4pm. And the guests of honors will be gracing us with their presence on both days from 1 to 3pm… see some local beauties up close and personal, including owls, hawks, and falcons. Take a kayaking tour, and listen to knowledgeable and entertaining speakers. Wrap up with a Traditional Salmon Bake with blessing and samples at 3pm at the Plankhouse.
